Silent As The Grave

For the love of-!  All these old people crawling around is making me itch. At least the Harpy didn't show up, and no howlers so far. Maybe the abnormal beard growth hasn't disrupted Dumbledor's brain entirely. If he'd sent the Harpy a letter about parents day, she would have at the very least sent a howler and a curse.

If anyone needs me, I'll be in the Forest  library studying.

Finally, almost time to go home back to Hogwarts. I'm glad I started working over the summer or I wouldn't have been able to pay for supplies. Second hand books, cauldron, and the cheapest ingredients/parchment/quills/everything I could find. And I still have a lot of money left over for Hogsmeade visits and other things.

... Need more of that potion before I go back....

I really hate the festival. It takes me almost a half hour just to get down the Alley from the Leaky Cauldron. Sometimes longer. Nearly got fired for being two hours late the first day of the festival >.< some fucking clown shot a confundus hex at me. Shoulda torn his damn throat out.

Though it has been nice. It's not just Diagon Alley that's overly busy. Got tipped six galleons just for getting a guy his drink in under three minutes. Life is good.

Well, it's not the best broom, but it's a broom. It's an old Comet, but it's good condition and only cost me a fraction of what I thought it would. It shouldn't be that much of a problem. I'm playing Beater, not Chaser or something. Once I warm up and re-learn the drills it'll be easy pushing to see what this sucker can do.

I'd like to see anyone laugh at me for having such an old broom. Get a bludger in the face.

So apparently I'm on Team D. I don't know my teammates, but it should be fun.

Excellent work on that. I wish I hadn't had to work that night or I coulda helped out and seen it first hand. Anyone who sets my mum off this badly is a friend of mine. This howler has lasted a half hour already.

So I got a job until Quidditch Camp starts up. Some bar down Knockturn. It isn't ideal, but they patrons pay surprisingly well for discretion. I'm making 2 galleons a day, plus tips. I may even have enough to buy a cheap model broom before camp starts up.

Dear ol' mum might pitch a fit if I see her before graduation, but who cares. I forged her signature for camp, since I couldn't remember if I could sign my own forms now that I'm 17. I'm too use to the American laws on drinking and consent forms.
